La excursion to Bulnes It begins by setting a course towards Poncebos, one of the best-known access points to the Picos de Europa and the starting point of the Cares Route. From there you take the Bulnes funicular, a completely underground route that crosses the mountain and allows you to reach this small village in just a few minutes, which cannot be accessed by road.
Once in Bulnes, a guided tour takes you through its stone streets and traditional architecture. There will also be time to enjoy the surroundings and visit some of its viewpoints, from which, weather permitting, you can admire the Picu Urriellu or Naranjo de Bulnes, one of the great symbols of the Picos de Europa.
Afterwards, the excursion continues to Arenas de Cabraleswhere you'll visit a cave dedicated to the production and aging of the famous Cabrales cheese.
